Sixteen of York’s corporate venues have so far signed up for VisitYork4Meetings’ York Minster to Westminster showcase, due to be held 13 March 2013.
They will join local MPs Hugh Bayley and Julian Sturdy and the new five-stare InterContinental Westminster Hotel for the hosted reception at the Houses of Parliament.
The event will be used to promote York’s corporate business product to over 70 conference buyers from London and the South. A selection of high-profile international organisers will also attend thanks to a partnership with Visit England. Delegates will include a range of corporate, association and international meetings and incentive buyers.
The venues who have already signed up to attend are York Minster, Yorkshire Air Museum, National Railway Museum, York Racecourse, The Royal York, Park Inn by Radisson, York Marriot, Holiday Inn, Best Western Monkbar Hotel, Novotel York, Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, Middlethorpe Hall, York Barbican, Scarborough Spa, York St John University and York Conferences.

The Houses of Parliament will provide a fitting backdrop for the event, where delegates will enjoy networking, afternoon tea and a tour of the venue. The invited guests will then move on to the new InterContinental Westminster Hotel,a former government building, for the York venue showcase and Yorkshire-themed dinner.
The York Minster to Westminster showcase is a key part of Visit York’s business tourism strategy, which in partnership with Visit England will also see a number of other international business tourism marketing opportunities.
