Winter Gardens Blackpool has announced Suzi Barnes as its new head of conference and event sales.
Barnes joins Winter Gardens Blackpool from Village Hotels, where she was director of hotel and meetings and events sales at the chain’s Blackpool property. Prior to this, she worked as a meetings and events sales manager for the group.
In her new role, Barnes will lead the Winter Gardens Blackpool’s conference and events sales team, which also represents the town’s newest venue – the Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre. Barnes will also be key in creating business strategies to help attract new business to the venues.
Barnes (pictured) said: “Winter Gardens Blackpool has a wonderful history, and I am looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting the venues hard working sales team.”
Michael Williams, managing director, Winter Gardens Blackpool, added: “Suzi has a wealth of experience in meetings and events and a great understanding of Blackpool’s offering. I am excited to see what the future holds with Suzi leading the team.”
