Well Met, the conference department for Leeds Beckett University, will welcome British Water, an association which covers all sectors of the water industry, for its national Data: Now and Beyond conference.

The conference will be held at Cloth Hall Court on Wednesday 9 October. It aims to provide the water industry with insight into how the sector can manage data more effectively and provide a better service to customers.

British WaterOver 100 delegates are expected to attend the conference. It will include workshops and presentations with speakers from water companies, the supply chain and more.

Data is used in every aspect of the water industry which includes: saving water, preventing leaks, protecting the environment and reducing customer disruption, forward planning, customer service and site management.

Data: Now & Beyond will include speakers from outside the water sector, such as Ofgem, Network Rail and Electricity North West. These speakers will provide guidance on the fast-changing landscape of data handling and their experience with the water industry.

Dr Mar Batista, technical manager of British Water said: “This event is an opportunity to collaborate and, with our industry peers, learn the best ways of working with data, how to get the most from it and how it can help companies drive efficiencies and improve service for customers.”

Clare Vidler, conference manager of Well Met, said “We are looking forward to welcoming British Water to Cloth Hall Court for the first time on Wednesday, 9 October. The convenient city centre location makes it an ideal venue for delegates from across the water industry.”
