The Welsh Government and Wales’ industry partners – Cardiff, International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales) and Vale Resort – are all set to make a splash together at this year’s ibtm world show in Barcelona, 28-20 November. The delegation is part of a new push to boost awareness of the country’s offering of venues, experiences, innovative businesses and industry specialisms.

The more energetic approach to business events is designed to position Wales for international meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. The Welsh Government business events team will also be launching a new publication at the Barcelona show, promoting Wales’ knowledge capital as an attractor for business events.

Rob Holt, director of tourism development and major events for the Welsh Government, said: “Wales regularly stages significant, internationally-renowned events, such as this year’s UEFA Champion’s League Final, but we can do more to raise awareness of our unique proposition.”

Rob Holt, the Welsh Government Business Events team and leading representatives from Cardiff, ICC Wales and the Vale Resort will be at Hall 3 [stand G35] to talk to attendees about what Wales can offer for their business events.
