Venuemasters, the consortium representing over 85 academic venues, has announced a new schedule of events for its 2012-13 membership year.
The events include a mix of full day training courses, webinars and networking events, plus a two-day Annual Conference.
Star of The Apprentice, Ruth Badger, will lead the training events.
Networking events will be held in the UK and also in Barcelona. For those not able or keen to travel, a series of webinars will offer delegates an opportunity to learn from the comfort of their own venue about key topics within the business tourism market.
The Annual Conference and AGM is in the planning stage and will take place this year, 31 October – 2 November at Warwick Conferences.
Venuemasters also plans to launch a new website dedicated to the event in July and promises a comprehensive guide to the programme of keynote speakers, breakout sessions and workshops, plus information on booking to attend.
Simon Barlow, Marketing and Communications Executive at Queen Mary, University of London said: “Venuemasters’ events are relevant and targeted to the industry they are the only provider able to commission these to our segment’s needs”.
Venuemasters’ Academic Venue Show attracted 375 visitors at The Emirates in London, 16 May, a rise of 15 per cent on the previous edition. The 2013 show is currently in the planning stage, with no venue yet announced, although a Venuemasters spokesperson tells CN “there is lots of interest again among the membership” for next year’s show.
