Over 3,200 Green Key accredited venues across the UK are now available to book via venuedirectory.com, bringing the total amount of sustainably accredited venues on the platform to 4,076.
Green Key is an eco label awarded to venues around the world that have met or exceeded the standards set against criteria, including environmental management, corporate social responsibility as well as sustainability education.
Michael Begley, CEO of venuedirectory.com, commented: “Sustainability will continue to remain a key factor in venue selection for the imminent future. As the UK’s largest database of green accredited venues we want to support planners in making a sustainable choice as well as providing the data they need to report on their own carbon footprint.
“Our partnership with Green Key expands our database of green venues to over 4,000 and our aim is to increase this to 10,000 by the start of 2022 by working with venue and hotel groups, some of whom have their own sustainability schemes.”
