Leicestershire-based full service event management agency Universal WorldEvents has been appointed as UK National Champion in the European Business Awards 2013/14.
Since 2007, the awards have been highlighting innovative businesses in Europe by promoting success, innovation and ethics in the European business community.
Universal WorldEvents has been selected in the ’Infosys business of the year with turnover of €26-150m’ category. The appointment came after the agency had to demonstrate its innovative and remarkable achievements as both an employer and a business over the past 18 months.
As UK National Champion, Universal WorldEvents will now compete in the second phase of the competition in order to be shortlisted for Ruban d’Honneur status, which will be announced towards the end of 2013.
“We are proud to have been recognised as UK National Champion especially as we are the only event management agency to have been shortlisted,” says Head of Sales and Marketing, Luke Flett (pictured). “We have competed with the best businesses in the UK to win the accolade of representing our country in the European Business Awards and look forward to the next stage of the competition.”
