Online language learning marketplace Preply has compiled a list of the 20 most stressful airports in the UK with Manchester coming out at No.1. The list was determined by reviewing Google reviews which contained the word ‘stressful’, lost luggage queries, flight punctuality, parking accessibility, facilities such as food and drink, and average passenger traffic during peak season.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport was found to be the least stressful airport, with zero Google searches for lost luggage at the airport over the past year.

- Manchester Airport:
Manchester airport is labelled as the most stressful airport in the UK with 138 reviews mentioning the stressful experience. The airport has a Google review of 3 out of 5 stars. One passenger, Emma W wrote, “Security is nothing but stressful, chaotic, and unsafe. Huge queues, frustrated passengers and staff alike.”
The airport has also seen 9,180 queries on Google for lost luggage over the past year.
2. Luton Airport:
Luton airport sees the longest flight delays in the country, with an average time of 27 minutes. The airport is named as the second most unreliable in the UK.
3. Bristol Airport
The airport sees 1,370 searches for lost luggage every year, and has the same average flight delay time as Manchester (25 minutes). There are also only nine food and drink options available.
On the other end, Liverpool John Lennon Airport is ranked as the least stressful in the UK. It has a Google review of 4 out of 5, and no reviews of lost luggage.
