The UK hotel industry has joined the initiative ‘Nights On Us’, which offers two night hotel breaks for ICU frontline workers as a sign of gratitude during the coronavirus pandemic.
For the next 12 months, Nights On Us encourages properties to offer rooms that otherwise would have been unoccupied. Hotels across the country have pledged room nights to support the campaign and over 700 nights have been confirmed from brands such as Z Hotels, Grantley Hall, The Beaumont, Cowdray Estate and Flemings Mayfair.
Nights On Us has also partnered with The Telegraph and The Walpole to help generate content and positive news stories to support the initiative.
Jacob Pickering, co-founder, Nights On Us, said: “The luxury travel, hospitality and hotel industries are not in the business of saving lives, we are in the business of enriching them. So, it’s with that in mind that we think it’s only fitting for the industry to unite and offer a light at the end of the tunnel for these frontline workers who have risked their lives during the pandemic.”
Pickering continued: “Our media partners are committed to telling the story of the campaign and promoting the hotels that are pledging. This offers hotels across the UK a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the biggest ‘thank-you’ the industry has ever seen. It also allows them to promote their properties to a national and international audience and increase consumer confidence in the travel industry.”
