Consortium Venues of Excellence has appointed three new team members after reported growth.

Da Silva offers over 20 years sales experience, previously a former director of sales at MacDonald Hotel Group, has been named as business development manager.

West, who has more than 18 years’ experience of events, conferencing and sales – most recently working for Principal and The Hotel Collection – has joined the consortium’s Venue Finding Team, overseeing new approaches to potential members across the UK.

Cockell, of Imbue Marketing, has been appointed as a consultant, providing specialist digital marketing services. Caroline has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing having worked in senior roles for National Express, Halfords and Interstate Hotels and Resorts.

Commenting on the new appointments and the company’s success to date, Mandy Jennings, executive director said: “It’s great to see Venues of Excellence really flourishing as more venues across the country look to showcase their commitment to high standards of service and facilities. Our portfolio now rivals that of many large conference led groups and we represent some of the highest quality venues in the country.

“By growing our team and appointing specialist skills in areas such as business development and digital marketing we can not only continue to grow our own portfolio but provide additional services to our members, too.”
