Experiential events and communications agency, Logistik Group, has won three Business in the Community (BITC) National Big Ticks for its sustainable approach to the business.

Big Ticks are the first level of recognition available to entrants of BITC’s national Awards for Excellence, which recognise leadership on key social and environmental issues where business can make a difference at local, national and international levels.

The Leeds and London-based agency was also shortlisted for a chance to be crowned the overall national winner in the Arts and Business category for its work with arts organisations and young people.

“Webelieve that in order to be a better business it is vital to behave responsibly and integrate a sustained approach to corporate responsibility into our business strategy,” said Logistik Joint Managing Director, Dirk Mischendahl.

Logistik presented its winning entry to a panel of expert judges earlier this month and will receive its three Big Tick awards at the BITC’s regional Gala Dinner in Harrogate, 21 June. The awards will also be announced in a national supplement of The Financial Times on 30 May.

The results of the national nominations will be announced at the BITC Awards for Excellence Gala Event, in London, on 27 June.

Stephen Howard, Chief Executive of BITC, said: “There has never been a better time to showcase that business can be a force for good – for the mutual benefit of both business and the communities in which they operate.”
