On 5 July 100 industry professionals, including representatives from Omnicom Europe and G4S, attended Thorpe Park Events’ Christmas party showcase: Rolla Disco Inferno.
The event rolled back to the 70s incorporating a roller disco and exclusive ride hire. Partygoers got into the spirit of the decade and dressed for the occasion, donning retro inspired clothes accessorised with jewellery and o wigs.
Harvey Wallbanger cocktails, notorious at 70s soires, awaited guests in Lake View. Caterer Dish served up New York style canaps with a retro influence including shots of prawn cocktail, mini cheese burgers with pickle and fresh tomato, mini bagels with pastrami Swiss cheese and pickle and mini corn dogs with American mustard. Guests were served by skilful waiting staff on roller skates.
Lake View was a hub of activity with a face painter adding glam rock and hippy designs to guests’ faces, a magician worked the crowd, a taxi-styled photo booth with props entertained and a disco stilt walker interacted withpartygoers. Brave guests took on 3 of the parks adrenalin pumping rides; The Swarm, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno.
