Thorough Events confirms Andrew Evans as new MD

Thorough Events has confirmed the appointment of Andrew Evans as managing director. Evans joins Thorough Events at a period of massive international expansion in the business, bringing with him more than 30 years of event and exhibition experience.

James Brooks-Ward CEO of Thorough Events, said: “Andrew helped us enormously with the launch of our latest event this year, the City Concours, achieving in 15 weeks what others couldn’t even have achieved in 15 months. We’re delighted that he’s joining us at such a crucial time in the company’s journey; we have big plans for all of our existing world-class events and a number of brand new shows in the pipeline, too.”

Evans previously worked as divisional managing director of Centaur Media, chief operating officer of Brand Events and managing director of Fresh RM. He joins Thorough Events with immediate effect, having consulted on the recent launch of City Concours.

“I’ve been working closely with the team at Thorough Events for a few months now, and I’ve been impressed by their vision and achievements to date. The Concours of Elegance, City Concours and Gulf Concours all stand out as world-class classic and performance car events talking to different audiences in different parts of the world. I’m excited to be able to build on these events with the team, and to expand the portfolio worldwide over the coming years,” commented Evans.
