London conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, hosted its latest summer showcase event on 2 July 2025 inviting event planners and agents to experience the ‘Under the Sea’ event.
The showcase featured immersive theming and entertainment, provided by EPH Creative, including an electric eel zone, a sunken shipwreck and the opportunity to take a deep-dive using VR headsets.

QEII Taste, the venue’s in-house catering team, showcased a variety of delicious paella, ‘sea water’ starters including cucumber and ginger tea, chalk stream trout tart and a plant-based miso ice cream station with edible sand. The team also designed the ‘seafood floor’, an artistic and impressive edible display of tempura sea leaves, coral tuile, savoury sponges and edible stones.
Elena Gurgul, director of sales & marketing, The QEII Centre, commented: “Whether it’s an exhibition, a corporate gathering, or a gala dinner, we believe events should deliver memorable experiences for attendees. With our new Dare to be Bold campaign and summer showcase, our goal is to empower event organisers with the inspiration and tools they need to create impactful moments in their own events.”
The purpose-built QEII Centre has capacity for up to 2,500 people with 32 event spaces over 7,000 square metres. The largest space can accommodate up to 1,300 people and spaces can be increased or decreased as needed.
