The Power of Events has announced the expansion of its UK Schools Engagement Programme, with the launch of the North West Hub.
The initiative will connect thousands of young people with the dynamic world of events, providing insights, inspiration and career pathway into the industry.
Ambassador registration is now live on the Schools Engagement Programme portal and industry professionals in the region are invited to sign up and support the next generation of talent by volunteering as little as an hour to the initiative.
The first wave of school engagements will begin in early May, with the goal of reaching 30,000 young people in the first year.
Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, said: “The events industry is a vital part of our region’s economy, culture, and identity.”
He added: “The launch of the North West Hub for The Power of Events Schools Engagement Programme is an exciting step in connecting young people with the wealth of opportunities in this dynamic sector. By inspiring the next generation, we are ensuring that Greater Manchester continues to lead the way in events and live experiences.”
To kick off the initiative, The Power of Events is invitng all ambassadors and industry professionals in the region to an exclusive launch reception at the conclusion of the Production Futures’ event on 28th April at AO Arena, Manchester.
This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the programme and network with fellow ambassadors and sponsors.
The programme expansion for 2025-6 is made possible with the sponsorship from leading event industry organisations across the North West, including:

The Power of Events is already operating in five regions – East of England, Hertfordshire, Birmingham, South Coast and Edinburgh, with a projection of engaging over 50,000 young people across 300+ school visits in 2025.
The North West Hub, is its largest region yet, spanning Liverpool, Cheshire and Manchester.
