London-based events venue, The Mermaid London, has achieved AIM Secure status from the Meetings Industry Association (mia).

mia’s accreditation is the only quality standard accreditation recognised by the UK events industry.

The standard investigates the venue’s legal compliance, customer service proposition and experience, ethical codes of conduct, and best practice standards, as well as the quality and accessibility of its facilities.

Jackie Harding, commercial director at The Mermaid London, said: “It is a true honour to be recognised by such a distinguished and authoritative institution as the Meetings Industry Association. Our membership of such an esteemed body will only enhance this value and we can’t wait to see where it takes us.”

Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive at mia, commented: “The accreditation acts as a distinguished badge to buyers that they’re choosing a service provider that cares about best practice and actively strives to meet and exceed your expectations.

“The accreditation provides prospects with an easy way of carrying out quality control, which will ultimately support The Mermaid London’s position within the market.”
