The Belfry Hotel & Resort, in the West Midlands, has named Hospitality Action and MND Association as the charity partners for its first-ever Belfry Classic Golf Day.

The event is set to take place on The Belfry’s renowned Brabazon Course, celebrated for hosting the Ryder Cup a record four times—more than any other course globally.

Proceeds from the event will benefit two of The Belfry’s charity partners: the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, with whom The Belfry has partnered since 2023, and Hospitality Action.

The Belfry will also continue its long-standing commitment to Hospitality Action, a vital charity that supports hospitality workers in crisis.

Tanya Curry, chief executive of the MND Association said: “As well as helping to raise vital funds which will enable us to improve the care and support we offer while investing in ground-breaking research, they also help us to raise awareness of a devastating condition which affects more than 5,000 people in the UK at any one time.”

Taking place on 22 May, the invite-only Belfry Classic Golf Day will be hosted by esteemed sports presenter and journalist and broadcaster, Dan Walker.

Walker said: “Golf has a great community around it and there is always a huge appetite to get together on days like this and raise money for some great causes.”

The inaugural Belfry Classic Golf Day promises a day featuring an all-day BBQ, live entertainment, multiple drinks receptions, a gala dinner, a live auction with surprise lots, and an after-party.
