Industry body, The Business of Events, has launched its Q3 events economy tracker, which aims to give eventprofs updates on the financial state of the industry.
The key finding of the data is that revenue per delegate for meetings and events dropped 21% due to a typically quiet summer season. However this low pickup over July and August was balanced out by a large uptick in confirmed events in September.
Other aspects of the report include an analysis of typical event types; lead times and number of delegates attending events. Data for the report was provided by Venue Performance and samples 250 venues from across the UK.
