Central London conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, has announced a spike in life sciences event bookings for the next six months, with 13 national and international conferences taking place by the end of March 2025.

Notable events in this sector include the British Society for Heart Failure’s Annual Autumn Meeting, the British Thoracic Society’s Winter Meeting, the UK Biobank’s Winter Scientific Conference, and the Association of Anaesthetists’ Winter Scientific Meeting.

Mark Taylor, chief executive, The QEII Centre, said: “The next two quarters show particularly strong growth in this sector, helped by the UK government’s strong emphasis on life sciences as a cornerstone for economic growth, and London’s growing innovation hubs, among other factors.”

Since 1986, the QEII Centre has played host to a variety of events, from international government conferences, to conventions, exhibitions and events for the corporate and association sectors, to dinners, AGMs, award ceremonies and graduations.
