Venue and hospitality events group, Sundial Group, is to undertake a major investment programme across its three conference venues in early 2014.

Management says the initial phases of work will see £500k worth of improvements and expects to invest a similar sum later in the year.

The money is to be spent on areas identified by research carried out among the Group’s customers in 2013, to find out which areas they most wanted to see improvements in. The three key areas identified for upgrades were bedrooms, public areas and the conference rooms.

There are major plans to change Highgate House’s (pictured) main entrance to give guests a more convenient direct access to the venue.

Numerous conference rooms at all three venues will also be redecorated and refreshed as part of the programme.

“Having listened to our customers’ suggestions on where we should target our investment, we are thrilled to be able to respond to their ideas and embark upon this important programme,” said Sundial Group MD Tim Chudley.

Work will begin in January and Sundial says it will be carried out at carefully chosen times to ensure minimal customer disruption.

Sundial Group runs three venues: Highate House in Northamptonshire; Barnett Hill in Surrey and Woodside in Warwickshire.
