Venue group Sundial Group’s three venues have undertaken an accreditation and training solution designed to enable meeting venues to work competently with healthcare clients.

Highgate House in Northamptonshire, Barnett Hill in Surrey and Woodside in Warwickshire have achieved Green accreditation status from Compliant Venues, an independent agency which was formed in response to an increasing need for healthcare meeting organisers to ensure their events meet internal and industry codes of practice and are carried out in appropriate environments.

Working with an accredited venue provides corporate healthcare organisations the opportunity to reduce their compliance risk and enhance their approval process by using a clear and recognised metric to support their choice of venues for meeting activities. The solution draws upon the guidelines issued by various UK healthcare regulatory bodies, which makes transparent the criteria generally accepted to make a venue compliant. The metric developed covers sales and marketing, location, suitability, facilities, service and cost resulting in a Green (fully accredited) or Amber (accredited with specific caveats) status.

“To have an accreditation which highlights us as a suitable meeting and conference venue for the healthcare sector is of great value,” says Managing Director of Sundial Group Tim Chudley (pictured). “To also have staff at each of our venues who have completed the training required as part of the accreditation process will benefit our customers in the healthcare sector hugely.”
