Sue Pelletier, a writer and editor at Penton Media, has been named as the winner of the 2013 Ovation Huggability Award by the destination management division of MCI, Ovation Global DMC.
The announcement was made at the IMEX America meetings tradeshow in Las Vegas by Ovation Director of Global Sales, Aoife Delaney.
The award was created in 2009 to recognise those individuals who make a real impact within the meetings industry and past winners have included MPI UK and Ireland’s President Samme Allen and CN columnist Rob Davidson. Last year’s winner was Eduardo Chaillo, the Executive Director of Meetings with the Mexico Tourism Board.
Pelletier was nominated for being “bright, intelligent and cultured and for delivering great content to the meetings industry for many years”.
