Barry Clark has been appointed the new GM for Lincolnshire country house hotel and events venue, Stoke Rochford Hall.
Hailing from Edinburgh, Clark has worked for some of Britain’s biggest hotel and catering brands and hosted guests ranging from celebrity chef Anthony Worrall Thompson to broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson, and Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond, who was a regular visitor at his previous hotel.
He took up his new role this month and is keen to push ahead with the next phase of the hotel’s business expansion. “It’s clear that Stoke Rochford already offers a warm welcome to guests staying at the hotel or enjoying one of our popular events as well as delegates attending a wide range of conferences and meetings, both big and small, that we host year round.
“But we are always striving to improve, so a key focus for us going forward will be offering even better customer service as part of our continuing commitment to delivering high quality standards in everything that we do,” he adds.
After studying Hospitality Management at Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University, Clark has spent his career within the hotel sector working in Scotland, England, France, Spain and Portugal for various hotel groups including Hilton, Corus and Menzies.
He moves to Stoke Rochford Hall from Aberdeen, where he ran a similar Scottish country house hotel on the outskirts of the city.
Stoke Rochford Hall boasts 26 meeting areas as well as a dedicated IT suite, breakout areas on the outside terraces, leisure centre with recently refurbished gym and 18-hole golf course.
