Sticky Wicket, coined ‘the events industry’s summer day out’,  is fast approaching, taking place on Thursday 17 July at Old Wimbledonians Cricket Club.

The day will include fast paced cricket games between event companies alongside plenty of networking opportunities.

The fun filled day is supporting the work of The Lord’s Taverners charity and has been running for 18 years.

The teams going head-to-head for the Sticky Wicket Cup, sponsored by Live Buzz, include Nineteen Group, Farnborough, AEO, GES, Exhibition News, ExCeL London, dmg Events, PSP, Informa, Aztec, BDC, CloserStill Media, Olympia, Easyfairs and Clarion Events.

Apart from headline sponsor Live Buzz there are many other sponsors and partners who contribute to the day and the activities around the event. These include Mash Media, SEC, Exhibit 360, Whitespace Expo, Expo, Showlite, GES, Venue IQ, Thorns, Ops Squad, Aztec, Tembo, Moore People, G4S, Maelstrom and Otis Events.

Laura Tythcott, current Chair of Sticky Wicket said: “We are very proud that over 18 years the events industry has collectively raised over £600,000 pounds for The Lord’s Taverners through Sticky Wicket. The Lord’s Taverners charity runs life-changing programmes that positively impact the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people facing the challenges of inequality.’’

Join EN for a day of cricket with the semi-finals and finals starting from 4.45pm. Tickets for the day festival are £30 (£25 in advance) which includes a wristband for afternoon beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar. Raffle prizes are also available and can be purchased on the day.
