Mercure hotels has changed its meetings offering on the back of BDRC research which shows that event bookers rank staff that take ownership of problems ahead of price.
Mercure hotel’s new meeting concept, Meet With Mercure, features improved meetings service with one point of contact, improved flexibility and healthier food options.
Event bookers cited ‘value for money’ as the second factor that ‘matters most’, according to the BDRC Continental MeetingsMetrix Annual Report 2013, with nearly 40 per cent stating this was of key influence.
Geographic location also continues to be a key factor influencing venue selection with 78 per cent of event bookers indicating it as a key driver.
Jonathan Sheard, SVP Operations Luxury, Upscale & Midscale Hotels, Accor UK & Ireland said: “What we wanted to do with the Meet With Mercure concept was to build on this already strong reputation and create a meeting concept that answers the needs of our clients.
“The elements of the new concept have been drawn from our years of combined experience and in-depth research and will help us and our clients continue to deliver successful meetings and events,” he adds.
