St David’s Hotel and Spa in Cardiff appoints Andreas Maszczyk as GM

UK hotel group, PH Hotels, has appointed Andreas Maszczyk as the new GM for the five-star St David’s Hotel and Spa in Cardiff.
 
Maszczyk takes over from Graeme Barclay, who has moved to Scotland to head up the team at the George Hotel in Edinburgh, also part of the PH Hotels group, following three years at St David’s.
 
Having joined PH in 2005 with experience in front of house, operations and revenue management already under his belt, he established himself as one of the company’s most accomplished managers rising through the ranks to become Group Director of Revenue and Distribution before taking on the role at St David’s.
 
“At the moment we are preparing to launch our new function room, Penarth, which overlooks Cardiff Bay and will further strengthen our conference and banqueting offering, and provide a unique space for events,” says Maszczyk.
 
St David’s Hotel & Spa has 142 guest bedrooms over seven floors, the Tempus at Tides Restaurant and Bar, the Marine Spa and eight conference and events suites.
 
PH Hotels has 23 properties ranging from countryside retreats to city centre properties.
