London-based venue, Somerset House, has now reopened both to the public and for small events.

The venue has been granted the ‘Good to Go’ Covid-19 Industry Standard Certificate in partnership with The National Tourist Organisations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This confirms that the venue is following and will continue to follow the latest Government guidelines. All measures in place will be given to organisers and are available to view on the website.

The venue’s coffee shop and restaurant has also reopened, in addition to the Mushrooms exhibition which had previously been held online. Visitors must book a time slot to view the exhibition, in order to ensure social distancing.

Acting head of commercial events, Lorraine Thorne, said: “We’re thrilled to be open again and welcoming people back in a socially acceptable way. It was also important for us to show solidarity with the campaign. At Somerset House we marry art with events so we hope this marks the beginning of some positive return and we can continue to open up further.”
