Catering and events company Sodexo has secured a three-year contract with Newcastle City Library worth £1.5m.
Sodexo Prestige has been running the café at the library on a temporary basis since August 2011, and will now take over the running of the venue site on a permanent basis.
“We have been very happy with the level of service and hospitality provided by Sodexo and we look forward to even bigger and better things in the future,” says Newcastle City Libraries’ Manager, David Fay.
Regional Director for Sodexo Prestige, Colin Perkins adds: “We are very pleased to have secured this contract. We provide catering for a number of iconic venues in the North East and are proud to add the City Library to our portfolio.”
Along with the City Library, Sodexo runs the conference and banqueting facilities at Newcastle United Football Club and at venues operated by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums in the region.
