Smyle to open London office in Tech City

Integrated eventproduction company Smyle is opening an office in the area dubbed ‘Tech City’ near Old Street in London.
 
With its headquarters in Hertford, the agency says it is a strategic move to have a satellite office closer to the Olympic activity, enabling a more efficient use of the team’s time and helping them look after London-based clients, suppliers and partner venues.
 
“This is an exciting development for Smyle that will immediately support our Olympic projects, as well as a longer term commitment to our enhanced client management and growth plans,” says Smyle’s MD Rick Stainton. “We are looking at other opportunities to support our enhanced live communications portfolio and delivery reach, so this is likely to be the first of several satellite offices.”
 
The Tech City location around Old Street has received a lot of attention and investment recently from the creative and technology sectors, including global leaders such as Google and Intel. Stainton says: “It is the perfect choice for Smyle’s production model that offers in-house creative and technical services for our clients’ live events and media requirements.”

London & Partners hosted a press event on Tech City last night (5 December), at which Smyle’s Strategic Director, David Hornby, was a guest on the panel.
