Over 150 friends and clients of event agency Smyle gathered at The Grove in Hertfordshire, 8 August, to celebrate the company’s 10 years of business.
Under the banner ‘Ten Amazing Years’, Smyle MD Rick Stainton, welcomed guests and congratulated his team on achieving the 10-year milestone.
The Grove celebration was a continuation of anniversary events which started with a client sailing day back in May and followed by backstage VIP experience at Wireless Festival. There was also a party for partners and suppliers at The Book Club in Shoreditch, Smyle’s recently founded London base.
Companies invited to The Grove included clients BlackBerry, Intel, Peugeot, Citroën, Betfair, Benchmark Sport and BMW UK. Activities throughout the day including culinary masterclasses, golf and various spa treatments.
Executive Chef Harry Lomas brought out some favourite cheeses (supplied by Premier Cheeses) and ports during an entertaining session on the finer points of appreciating fine cheese.
The evening event used the gardens and the Amber Suite, which was transformed to highlight Smyle’s in-house services agency core values and creativity.
Entertainment included acoustic permances from Laurie and Danilo, a permance from the CC Smugglers and a set from DJ Dan Browne.
Stainton and Creative Director Matt Margetson (Creative Director) spoke about their vision for the agency for the next 10 years.
“For the Smyle team to be able to offer such a great day and evening of fun as a thank you to so many of our client friends was special, particularly within The Grove’s set-up; it is so exciting that the experiences we could deliver for our clients’ event and live communication projects over the next ten years are limitless – bring it on,” said Stainton.
The Grove’s General Manager Jonathan Critchard added: “We appreciate all the wonderful support given to The Grove by so many loyal clients over the years. We are thrilled to partner with Smyle in celebrating their Ten Amazing Years as a company. Smyle are always at the forefront bringing flair, ingenuity and imagination to the arena of the events world, as witnessed by the celebrations brought to life at The Grove this evening.”
