Smart Hospitality played host to an Olympic wrap party on 8 September. The event was a thank you from Smart Hospitality CEO, Greg Lawson, to the team who delivered the catering at the Olympic Hospitality Centre during the 17 days of the London 2012 Games.
The event was the culmination of the Smart motivation programme during the Games, designed to inspire and motivate every member of the whole team, from the first day until the last, with the chance to get a‘money can’t buy’ ticket to the party.
There were several ways this could be achieved. Firstly, staff could secure their place by gathering five gold stars awarded for professionalism and exceptional service. Secondly, sponsors were given the chance to award a coveted ‘Golden Ticket’, which gave automatic admission to the party – the crucial element being that these awards could be given at any time during the Games.
In honour of the team effort Lawson presented awards to the crowd with the help of Martin Johnson CBE, former English rugby union player who captained England. Awards included Leaders in the Field, Ultimate Motivator, Character of the OHC and Unsung Hero.
The black tie event was hosted at Battersea Evolution, where Smart Hospitality is the in house caterer.
