AV and interactive technology hire company, Smart AV, is encouraging the events industry to don a Christmas jumper in order to raise money for charity, Little Havens Hospice (pictured).
Smart AV is to host a Christmas Jumper Day on 13 December, where its staff will be encouraged to wear a Christmas jumper to work for the day and will be donating £10 to the charity for every Christmas jumper that is worn.
The audiovisual supplier is also encouraging its clients and stakeholders to take part in the challenge and will be donating £10 to the cause for every picture it receives to its Twitter handle or Facebook page.
Smart AV has chosen the Little Havens Hospice as its charity of the year as part of a commitment to sustainability, in order to give something back to the local community in which it works. Little Havens provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to children and their families throughout Essex who are not expected to reach adulthood because of a life-limiting condition.
“We are proud to be supporting the Little Havens Hospice as our charity of the year,” said Darren Poultney, MD of Smart AV. “The charity receives very little government funding and costs almost £2.6m per year to sustain the unique and vital services they provide to so many families. It is definitely a cause close to the hearts of those at Smart AV that we want to support and raise as much money for as possible.”
Smart AV will be supporting some of the Hospice’s charity events with audiovisual equipment and technical support as well as hosting a series of its own fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money and awareness.
