International association for motivational and incentive travel professionals, Site, is introducing a Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) certification programme.
The
CIS, the association says, is designed to give professionals a greater
understanding of the theory and practice of creative and effective use
of incentive and motivational travel programmes.
“As
Site is the global leader in delivering training for incentive travel
practitioners, we are introducing this new certification to raise the
bar on the competency and competitiveness of professionals in the
motivational experiences and incentive travel industry,” says Site Managing Director Allison Summers (pictured) who adds the programme is one of many educational initiatives Site is bringing forward over the coming year.
Professionals
can receive the CIS designation by attending a two-day live education
programme that addresses the fundamentals of incentives, the value
proposition of motivational programmes and non-cash awards, the value
chain, the composition of the incentive travel market, and the
successful planning and delivery of incentives.
The
first two education programmes will be held 7 and 8 December 2012 in
Chicago, USA, and 9 and 10 December 2012 in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Avanti
Business Solutions will deliver and manage the content. “The CIS is a
significant stepping stone to reaching higher levels of
professionalism,” according to Avanti’s President Fernando Compeán.
Site
has grown since its inception 40 years ago to nearly 2,000 members in
90 countries with 28 local and regional chapters. It claims to be the
only global authority connecting motivational experiences with business
results.
