Essex-based AV supplier Showcase AVi say they are “elated” to be this year’s winner for the Best Conference Technology award at the recent Event Technology Awards 2017.
“It’s great to be recognised for our achievements in delivering experiential, innovative technology to the events industry,” the company told CN.
“Earlier in the year we were thrilled to be shortlisted in not one but two categories, Best use of Audio Visual Technology and of course the Best Conference Technology. We were shortlisted for these categories in relation to the solution we designed and supplied for World Retail Congress, Dubai earlier this year where we used the most innovative and up to date AV technology to transform a 2,760sqm arena into a main conference auditorium, four breakout ‘Lab’ spaces and the awards ceremony venue,” the company said.
Senior operations manager for World Retail Congress added: “Showcase have superseded the solution and production they provided in 2016 – the wonderful team did it again and everyone loved this new concept for the congress. It’s a one off to hold an event in this way with live audio, in the round and then silent streams. They delivered and were on point the whole way through. The relationship has only got stronger from here… next stop Hong Kong.”
