Ahead of its official European launch at ibtm world in Barcelona next week, VeDi™, which its creators the Sequoia Partnership claim is world’s first online diagnostic tool designed exclusively for venues, has gone live, 24 November.
VeDi™ is an online version of the consultancy’s large-scale audit, Venue Diagnostic, already used by venues in Europe, including Emirates Stadium, ICE Krakow Conference Centre and Amsterdam Arena, since 2016.
Sequoia Partnership involved experts from a number of venues and other event professionals to advise on the design of VeDi™. It identifies strengths, weaknesses, and areas of development within a venue. In addition, the tool, via online assessment, provides recommendations on how to sustain and grow existing business.
“Ultimately, we’ve created VeDi™ to be a cost-effective solution for venues looking to develop, analyse and improve their business plans,” says Samme Allen, Sequoia Partnership MD. “It grows in value as a benchmarking tool, allowing venues to measure their growth and success year on year, and is something I wish I had been able to access when I was managing venues.”
The simple online system enables users to go to www.myvedi.com and complete a series of questions, across five sections, which then generates a personalised report detailing the venues comparative performance along with key recommendations for improvement.
VeDi™ focus group member Gary Payne, director of One Great George Street in London, says: “The process was very easy and quick to complete with simple concise questions, and the final report has really helped us develop our strategy moving forward. Most venues don’t have the time or budget for expensive consultancy fees, so using VeDi™ means venues can take more ownership of their strategy.”
