Searcys has been appointed as the new caterer at The National Gallery, coinciding with the unveiling of the reimagined Sainsbury Wing amid its £85m capital build projects.
The investment includes a major reconfiguration of the Sainsbury Wing entrance, a new mezzanine event space with a statement bar overlooking Trafalgar Square, and a digital welcome wall for bespoke client branding.
From May, Searcys’ new spring/summer 2025 menus will be available for all daytime events held in the Gallery’s Grade I listed Sainsbury Wing.
A new range of dishes has been created in collaboration with renowned chef Giorgio Locatelli, who will also open his eponymous restaurant, Locatelli, in the Sainsbury Wing.

Rebecca Hawkes, director of sales and events at Searcys, said: “We are honoured to play a part in delivering unforgettable experiences in this special place. Committed to working with local, seasonal, and sustainable producers, we have carefully crafted a range of mouth-watering dishes to delight and inspire.”
Clare Arouche, head of events and hospitality at the National Gallery, added: “We’re thrilled to be working in partnership with such an illustrious caterer as Searcys to provide clients and their delegates with catering that complements the space.”
