For one night only, Merlin Events’ Southbank-based events venue and visitor attraction, Sea Life London Aquarium, is to become a pop-up art gallery exhibiting the works of Roy Peterson.
The exhibition will support Stonewall, who work for the equality and justice of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals, as Peterson will generously donate a portion of all proceeds from the sale of his works to the organisation.
A first for the aquarium, the pop-up gallery will open 15 May from 6.30-8.30pm. Guests will walk through the recently-refurbished Shark Walk and into the Pacific Wreck for reception drinks and canapés, before being led to the Atlantic Cove to view Peterson’s latest works which will be displayed on easels.
The pop-up exhibition will see guests enjoy canapés, served on platters wrapped in copies of Peterson’s paintings, including seared tuna with aubergine salsa and spring onion and chilli mix, beef Wellington with béarnaise sauce and asparagus with hollandaise sauce created by caterer Dish.
