Ackergill Tower in Wick, Scotland is set to open to the public as a hotel on 1 May 2012.
The 15th century castle, set in the Scottish Highlands, has previously only been available for private hire.
When it opens it will boast 28 en-suite bedrooms, many of which have been fashioned from the original buildings of the estate. Ackergill Tower is available for Exclusive Hire for a day, a weekend, a week, or even a month at a time.
For meetings and events organisers can choose rooms to suit the occasion from the theatre of the Opera House, the LooseBoxes Dining Room or its tree house.
The hotel is part of Clarenco. Over 100 travel and hospitality media, events professionals and key clients gathered at The Dorchester on 19 March to officially launch Clarenco, a collection of retreats in locations including Spitbank Fort, Stanbrook Abbey and Plas Rhianfa, the three brand new venues opening next month.
