The Science Museum in London recently welcomed over 50 clients to a reception and dinner, as part of a showcase of the venue’s event spaces.
The evening highlighted the option for exclusive hire of the entire museum for a takeover event. The dinner also marked 5 years since Illuminate, an event space at the Science Museum opened.
The event was created in collaboration with partners, Moving Venue (catering), White Light (AV), Sternberg Clarke (entertainment), Lavendar Green (florists), and Options GreatHire (furniture and tableware).
Guests were able to watch a film projected onto the walls highlighting the museum’s mission and values: ‘Think big, reveal wonder, ignite curiosity, be open for all and share authentic stories’.
Guests had a two-course themed dinner on Level 5 of Illuminate, followed by post dinner cocktails and entertainment including a hula hooper, contortionist and singer.
Jodie Guilford, the business development and marketing manager at the Science Museum said: “We wanted to create a special celebratory evening for clients old and new to not only showcase our event spaces and the opportunity to take over the entire museum for exclusive events, but more importantly to share what our clients support means to the museum and how they contribute to our wider mission and values. By hiring the Science Museum, clients are helping to break down ‘not for me’ STEM barriers and make STEM engagement accessible, relevant, and exciting. With their incredible support we’re able to continue to inspire future generations”.
