North Yorkshire conference venue Scarborough Spa stages the inaugural Art Party Conference on 23 November 2013.
The event is a first-time win and organisers say the conference is designed as a celebration of the best regional and national creative talent. It promises a forum for speakers and public debate on key art topics and issues.
The Art Party Conference is organised by artists Bob and Roberta Smith in conjunction with Crescent Arts and Sheffield International Venues (SIV), the operator of Scarborough Spa.
Bob Smith said: “We are looking forward to welcoming lots of creative minds to a fantastic venue and sparking some really good debates.”
The conference will feature an art fair and showcase installations, permances and film and video screenings.
Scarborough Spa GM, Helen Broadbent, said the first ever Art Party Conference demonstrated Scarborough’s growing reputation for not only hosting traditional conferences but also for delivering creative and unique events.
“The Art Party Conference is a fantastic way to bring creative and artistic people in from around the country and we hope they enjoy their time at The Spa.”
