On 27 September RSA House relaunched its venue spaces to the industry with an ‘Enlightened Evening’ following a £3m, nine-month renovation and refurbishment.

Over 250 guests were taken on a journey through the venue to stimulate the senses. Taste buds were awakened with molecular dishes and drinks, sight captivatedwith entertainment and emotions tickled with sound, vision and music.

Guests registered using interactive screens after which a photograph was taken. In the Benjamin Franklin Room guests enjoyed British inspired molecular canapés including ham hock with pea ‘soup’ on a spoon, mushroom and truffle oil caviar jelly on toast and juniper cured salmon with vodka syrup pipette. Molecularcocktails including sparkling based passion fruit and vanilla caviar were served alongside reverse Cosmo’s and apple martinis.

Guests later moved to the Great Room for a visual display by Vanguardia which showcased its AV facilities, including the ability to stream and relay live and recorded digital content during an event.

Food stations served molecular canapés inspired by 18th century Georgian banquets. Later a message from Alex Banks, a Sinatra singer, was screened on the big screen in the Great Room inviting guests to party in the underground Vaults.

In the Vaults guests got a taste of RSA’s 2012 Christmas party theme: ‘Sinatra Sings Christmas’. Ambient lighting set the atmosphere of an underground speakeasy with the dulcet tones of Sinatra on the microphone.
