Kings Place Events have announced the refurbishment of its popular Battlebridge Room, as part of a celebration of its 10-year anniversary.

The canal-side room in Kings Cross features a private, covered terrace and a blank canvas space for events ranging from meetings to product launches, weddings, and parties.

The refurbishment will take place over August and add more features into the space including a timer dance floor, a controllable lighting system and a new reception area.

The Battlebridge Room will reopen in the first week of September 2018. It will fit 400 guests, and is part of a wider investment of £1.5m by Green & Fortune.

Kings Place was opened in 2008, and has since grown significantly with a team of almost 190 people and an annual turnover in excess of £12.5m.

Green & Fortune CEO John Nugent said: “So much has changed in King’s Cross in recent years, and I am very proud that we were the early adopters of the area.

“Ten years into any business is a time for reflection and future planning. We launched against a pretty difficult backdrop with recessionary pressures.

“Today we look forward to further growing the business. All our space at Kings Place will be transformed, with new menus and well-crafted drinks offerings as we continue to deliver great hospitality.”
