Robinson College in Cambridge is celebrating a record year for business, with its enquiry level for events up 29 per cent, its day business up 15 per cent and its overall revenue increasing by 25 per cent.

The conference team has also seen a rise in the number of enquiries from agents looking to use the college for their client events. The college said its strongest sectors have been business from corporates, together with academic organisations.

“This is a terrific result and very much a team effort,” says Catering and Conference Manager at Robinson College, Nick Milne. “Everyone has worked hard to not only meet but surpass client needs and over the last year we have invested in technology to help our clients achieve their delegate numbers by assisting with social media and offering our online delegate tool.

“However we are not resting on our laurels in these challenging times and have already set ourselves the goal of achieving gold in the next MIA accreditation,” he adds.

Robinson College is registered as a charity and was purpose-built with conferences in mind to bring in revenue and regularly hosts residential and day conferences. Wi-Fi (300 mbps) is provided in all bedrooms, available to delegates free of charge.
