The National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, has announced that Aspects, its new £8.1m events building, will open in October 2018.
The modern events space offers views across the Arboretum’s landscape and delegate packages can include guided tours of the 150-acre site.
Aspects is now at the outfitting stage with primary contractor Stepnell.
The Arboretum is also running a competition to give planners the chance to win a meeting for 12 people in the executive Alder room, worth £500.
One lucky group will be able to enjoy food and beverages throughout the day, for up to 12 people, and a complimentary guided walk with one of the Arboretum’s guides to explore the woodland and learn about the tales of heroism and dedication behind the hundreds of memorials.
Aspects will offer seven separate event spaces and a theatre-style set up will be able to host 500 delegates for conferences.
The Arboretum already hosts hundreds of functions each year, in addition to large set piece events on key dates each year including Armed Forces Day and Remembrance Sunday.
Sarah Oakden, head of marketing at the National Memorial Arboretum, says: “The opening of Aspects next month is another landmark moment for the Arboretum, providing a contemporary events space in a stunning and inspirational location. Organisers will deliver events that matter in a place that matters.”
