PortAventura Business and Events, the Tarragona Convention Bureau, the Costa Daurada Convention Bureau and Costa Daurada hosted the most recent event organised on 18 May last by MPI, the largest association of meeting and event professionals in the world which currently has more than 24,000 members spread over 83 countries.
Members of MPI Spain, and the Tarragona and Costa Daurada Convention Bureaux met in a relaxed and informal atmosphere for an enjoyable learning experience at the first theory-and-practice session organised by MPI in Tarragona. The first part of the day, which took place at the PortAventura Convention Centre, benefited from the participation of entrepreneur and Personal Productivity trainer Berto Pena. In an amenable and dynamic way Pena administered the participants ‘a strong dose of common sense’, aimed at fulfilling the seminar objective: to provide key tools for organising the working day, identifying the important tasks and the enemies of productivity, effective team working, and keeping on top of email.
After a break which gave the participants an opportunity for networking and building up their strength with the help of a finger buffet prepared with local produce and wines, the Gold Events Team, headed up by ex basketball player Toms Jesa, organised the more intrepid into teams to try out their timemanagement strategy in the PortAventura Park.
