Old Trafford Cricket Ground’s conference and events venue, The Point, hosted the 5th Northwest Football Awards on 12 November.
The evening, which was hosted by the BBC’s Dan Walker, attracted over 450 guests from football and football related services. Among the star studded guests were World Cup winner Patrick Vieira, Wigan Manager Roberto Martinez, ex-Bolton player Fabrice Muamba and Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
The awards, backed by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), The Professional Footballers’ Association () and The Football Foundation, celebrated the commercial, marketing and professional services talent in the region off the pitch, in addition to the recognised talent of the players on the pitch.
Winners at the event included Everton in the Community for Community Club of the Year, Manchester City FC for Best Club Marketing Campaign and digital agency Rippleffect for Business Services to Football.
