London’s Southbank event space OXO2 is to launch a pop-up bar and event space The Garden Gate. The space is open to the public and spaces are available for private hire from 14-23 August.
The casual dining menu has been created by Concerto-owned caterer Create Food & Party Design and the cocktails are provided by Liquid Chefs.
Theming will bring the outdoors in, with kitsch secret garden decor creating the atmosphere of suburbia in the heart of the capital. Guests who bring a garden gnome will receive a free drink (and one for their diminutive companion).
Liquid Chefs are also hosting cocktail making classes for groups of up to eight, which could be used for a last-minute teambuilding activity.
Entertainment will also be provided, with table tennis, Jenga and coits available during the day, and chill out DJ sets on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons.
“OXO2’s Garden Gate pop-up provides an enticing and fun addition to the eating and drinking offer at Oxo and Southbank,” says Alison Pinner, Commercial Director of social enterprise at Coin Street Community Builders, owners of Oxo Tower Wharf.
