Ovation Global DMC’s Padraic Gilligan awarded by ADMEI

Padraic Gilligan, Vice-President of Ovation Global DMC, has been named Destination Management Professional of the Year 2013, by the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI).
 
Comprising owners, executives and CEOs of long standing Destination Management Companies, ADMEI is an international organisation formed in 1995 to define the DMC industry, establish standard business and ethical practices and to promote the value of a DMC through member and industry education.
 
Just two years prior to the formation of ADMEI, Gilligan entered the DMC sector establishing his Dublin-based company with fellow industry heavyweight Patrick Delaney. Since then their two-man operation has grown to a global operation providing DMC services across four continents.
                                                                                                                
Commenting on his award, Gilligan says: “I am honoured and humbled to be recognised by ADMEI. The organisation plays an important role in strengthening our industry voice as we partner more and more with local entities to ensure the destination brand is ever more front and centre’’.
