Wednesday 5 September saw the official launch of Skyloft, the new pop-up space from Altitude London. Two hundred guests from companies including Fitch, BBC, BP, Deloitte, Yahoo, Barclays, BT and Emap attended the launch at the top of Westminster’s Millbank Tower.

Guests enjoyed a selection of traditional British bowl food from caterer Private Food Design, in keeping with the design of this new space. On the menu were old favourites including fish and chips and bangers and mash, as well as meat balls with baby basil and arrabiata sauce, a goat’s cheese and beetroot salad and a delicious Lavender cheesecake.

The Skyloft refit was created especially for the Summer Games. A quintessentially British design inspired the venue, which offers panoramic views of the capital from the top of London’s tallest riverside venue. Retro design features include a wooden floor, recycled from an Edinburgh gymnasium and exposed brickwork reclaimed from a disused Manchester cotton mill. Ironwork and wooden beams complement the venue’s vintage feel.
