Nominations have opened for the Meetings Industry Association’s 2022 miaList.
Showcasing both inspirational individuals as well as teams, the miaList recognises those who go above and beyond the call of duty and play an instrumental role in making their organisation a success.
New for this year, the list that commenced in 2011 will feature dedicated ‘Sustainability and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ titles, as well as a ‘Best Innovation’ accolade. It will also see a ‘Venue of the Year’ and ‘Supplier of the Year’ crowned.
Anyone who is working within or is associated with the UK’s business meetings and events industry is eligible to be featured on the list, which is free to enter. However, individuals must be nominated by either a colleague or an associate.
All nominations will be assessed a panel of judges. For the team titles, there will be an additional judging stage where those shortlisted by the panel will be subject to a weighted public vote.
Commenting on the news, Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive of the mia, said: “We are delighted to be opening the nominations for this year’s miaList and extending the categories to ensure the efforts of those working across all segments of the industry are recognised.
“I look forward to supporting our expert judging panel in navigating this year’s nominations and entries, and seeing who is chosen to join the miaList.”
Completed forms and portfolios of evidence must be submitted by 5pm on 17 June.
